Thorn Mill Lighters Owner's Manual
Dear customer,
Thank you for choosing Thorn Mill handmade lighters. Thorn Mill is our brand that we produce and sell our own design products with the highest quality, entirely by hand. Our design and product diversity continues to increase. As Thorn Mill, our main goal is to produce rare, personalized, collectible products that can be passed on from generation to generation, increasing in value over time, instead of cheap, easily available and poor quality products that oppose today's disposable concept.
The design and production of your lighter was made by Erdem Uygan. Chemicals such as paint and varnish are not used in Thorn Mill lighters. Our products are produced by transferring delicate handcraft to metal at the most advanced level, paying attention to the preservation of the natural color and appearance of the metals we use. Metals such as copper, brass and bronze change color over time by reacting with the oxygen in the air. This phenomenon, which is also called "darkening" among the people, is actually the result of an oxidation that leads to very pleasing color changes. If this change in your product over time does not appeal to your taste, you can restore your lighter to its first day's shine with the help of any metal polisher and cotton you can find in every hardware store.
Thorn Mill lighters run on liquid lighter fuel. Your lighters are sent without fuel for safety reasons. You can put Zippo or Clipper brand lighter fuels by opening the big cover at the bottom of your lighter. The amount of fuel to be put in should not be too much. Add the fuel until the cotton in the tank of your lighter is damp. Do not fill the lighter completely with liquid fuel. After the cotton is slightly wet, you can wait a while for the fuel to reach the wick and light your lighter. Overfilling or refueling the lighter can cause fuel to leak from the cap.
Top quality flint is used in your lighter. It is possible to put new flint even if your lighter has fuel when the flint runs out. To change the flint, turn the fork on which the flint wheel of your lighter is attached counterclockwise and separate it from the body. Unscrew the set screw in the hole at the bottom of the fork with the smallest Allen wrench. Remove the spring and reassemble the fork by adding new flint.
You can contact us at 05305062119 or our social media accounts for any problem that may occur, although it is very rare, in any part of your lighter.
We wish you to use your Thorn Mill lighter in good times.
