LIGNEUX Copper & Walnut – Handmade Copper Petrol Lighter

LIGNEUX Copper & Walnut brings together metal and natural wood in a distinctive Thorn Mill petrol lighter.

The body is individually machined from solid copper, while the cap is made from natural walnut. As the copper develops its natural patina over time and the walnut reveals its individual grain, each LIGNEUX gradually takes on a character of its own.

Every piece is individually made on a manual lathe in the Thorn Mill workshop in İznik, Türkiye. It is not assembled from mass-produced parts; the body, cap and mechanical details are individually machined and finished by hand.

No paint or lacquer is used. Both the copper and walnut are finished to preserve the natural character of the materials.

Natural Materials

Copper naturally oxidizes and develops a distinctive patina over time. This is an inherent characteristic of the material and allows each piece to develop its own appearance through use.

Walnut is also a natural material, so its color and grain will vary from piece to piece. Small variations between the product shown in the photographs and the piece you receive are therefore part of its individual character.

Care

The copper can be left to develop its natural patina or polished to restore its original brightness.

To maintain the appearance of the walnut and nourish the wood, it can be wiped with a small amount of natural oil a few times a year.
